Every verdict in the Evil case “The Emerald That Went Under the Knife”, in an order where each step is proven by the statements already on file.

Play it first Just a hint, please

This Evil case seats 25 suspects on a 5×5 grid. 21 of them carry a clue; the other 4 only have something to say about themselves. 9 of the steps can only be proven by reading two or more clues together. The order below is one valid route; any order where each verdict is proven when you enter it reaches the same answer.

What happened

The emerald never went into theatre. Yvette, short of money and long on pride, planned its 'loss' with her grand-niece Celia, whose tearful bedside video half the country watched. Lena, Quinn and Theo wrote an operation note so meticulous that nobody thought to ask about a missing jewel; Nora and Ruby, on security that night, logged a camera fault on the theatre corridor; and Suki, the administrator, pushed the claim through in one afternoon. The stone left the building baked into one of Gus's game pies, addressed to a dealer in Amsterdam who already had a buyer.
