Getting unstuck without hints
- Re-read the newest statement. Each one appears because it helps soon.
- Count budgets. For every count clue, note how many criminals it still needs among the unproven people. Zero, or “all of them”, settles everyone in it.
- Look for overlaps. Two clues that cover some of the same people are where two-clue steps hide. Tap a name in a statement to light up their card.
- Test a hunch with notes. Pencil in I? or C? and press Check. If the statements can’t all hold, the game names the one that breaks — a proof by contradiction.
- Remember the definitions. Neighbors include diagonals; “between” excludes the two ends; zero is even; “if” is one-way. See the clue-type manual.
